Huge blow for Poland which is hosting Group D of the upcoming tournament

Jeremy Sochan will not play in the upcoming EuroBasket 2025 due to a calf injury, the Polish Basketball Federation announced on Sunday.

Without 22-year-old Sochan, Poland is losing a key member of its roster, even if qualifying for the knockout stage is still in the cards.

Poland will host Group D action in Katowice, where they will face France, Slovenia, Israel, Belgium, and Iceland with four tickets to the Round of 16 on the line.

Earlier this week, Sochan reported calf discomfort following a training session, and while his injury will not affect his upcoming NBA season with the Spurs, it requires rest and rehabilitation.

“We are very sorry that Jeremy’s summer with the national team ends so soon,” said National Team Director Lukasz Koszarek. “He is a valued member of our squad and has a great connection with the team.”
