Greece enjoyed a prepration win over Montenegro to keep building confidence ahead of FIBA EuroBasket 2025, but once again Giannis Antetokounmpo didn’t take part in the game.
In the post-game aftermath, however, head coach Vassilis Spanoulis assured everybody about the Greek superstar’s availability in the upcoming days, starting from the Acropolis Tournament.
Asked if the Milwaukee Bucks‘ superstar will be available against Latvia and Italy in OAKA, AS Monaco’s head coach confirmed Giannis Antetokounmpo’s current status within the national team.
“He will be fine. On Saturday, he will start training with us normally, which was our plan. He is already working with us on the 5-0,” Vassilis Spanoulis first stated.
“He already had a training session with contact with some guys from our team. On Saturday, he will start training normally,” he added.
Giannis Antetokounmpo has never won medals with the Greek national team, and wants to get his revenge after the early elimination at FIBA EuroBasket 2022 in the Quarter-Finals.
