Bosnia and Herzegovina star wing Dzanan Musa underwent an emergency surgery and is currently uncertain to participate in the upcoming EuroBasket.
As Radio Sarajevo reported, Musa had to undergo surgery due to pain in the abdominal area. He traveled to Munich, Germany where he was operated.
The EuroBasket tips off on August 27 and, as of now, Musa is questionable to play in the tournament.
“Džanan expressed his desire to do everything possible to ensure his recovery and to leave room for a possible appearance at the upcoming EuroBasket, in line with his great desire to be with the team in Cyprus. In this situation, his appearance is certainly uncertain,” a representative of Musa told Radio Sarajevo.
If Musa doesn’t make the EuroBasket then Bosnia will be have to deal with a significant absence in its effort to advance past the Group stage in Limassol, Cyprus. In the 2022 edition of the tournament, he had 22.8 points, 5.0 assists and 4.8 rebounds.
This summer, Musa signed with Dubai BC after spending three years with Real Madrid and establishing himself as one of the most elite EuroLeague players in his position.
