Nikola Jovic scored 22 points as Serbia downed Germany 91 – 81 in Munich to remain unbeaten after six preparation games ahead of the EuroBasket.
During the 28:16 he spent on the floor, Jovic shot 7 out of 11 from the field, including 4-7 triples. Tristan Vukcevic had 11 points plus five rebounds, Bogdan Bogdanovic notched 11 points, four assists plus four boards, and Marko Guduric scored 11 as well.
Nikola Jokic mostly had a facilitating role, finishing with seven assists to go with his seven points (3-7 shots) and eight rebounds, but he didn’t need to do much more.
Franz Wagner led Germany with 26 points. Tristan Da Silva scored 14 points, and Dennis Schroder posted 12 points plus five assists.
Serbia was up 38 – 32 at halftime and then dominated the third quarter to take a 70 – 55 advantage with 10 minutes remaining. Wagner cut that margin to 73 – 71, but Serbia responded with a 10 – 2 run and remained at a distance until the final buzzer.
