While other teams are still deciding who will be the remaining players to be excluded from the respective groups before FIBA EuroBasket 2025, France has made its 12-man roster clear.
After beating Spain in back-to-back friendly games, head coach Frederic Fauthoux decided to cut both Vincent Poirier, who got injured, and Nadir Hifi.
“It’s very hard for me to leave the French group. Proud to have been able to represent France with a special group. Good luck to you, brothers. Go get the gold,” Paris Basketball’s own commented.

Therefore, these will likely be the 12 players ready to compete for France: Theo Maledon, Sylvain Francisco, Elie Okobo, Isaia Cordinier, Matthew Strazel, Zaccharie Risacher, Bilal Coulibaly, Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot, Guerschon Yabusele, Jaylen Hoard, Alexandre Sarr, and Mam Jaiteh.
Recently, Frederic Fauthoux stated to the press that Moussa Diabate decided to turn down France’s offer to rejoin the squad for FIBA EuroBasket 2025, being cut earlier in the summer.
Without main centers like Victor Wembanyama, Rudy Gobert, Mathias Lessort, Moustapha Fall, and ultimately Vincent Poirier, France will take on EuroBasket 2025 against Poland, Slovenia, Israel, Belgium, and Iceland in Group D.
