The Spanish national basketball team has added two new players, Lucas Langarita and Álvaro Cárdenas, to its roster as preparations for EuroBasket continue. Albert Abalde, as previously announced, will miss the tournament due to injury.

Both Langarita and Cárdenas have previously trained with Spain B during the City of Malaga Tournament and have participated in senior team training sessions. Langarita, a 2023 U19 World Champion, was also called up as a wild card during the EuroBasket Qualifying Window in February.

Spain will play its final two warm-up games this week in a doubleheader against Germany, with the first game on Thursday, August 21, at Movistar Arena in Madrid, and the second on Saturday, August 23, in Cologne.

The 17-player squad, led by coach Sergio Scariolo, now includes Santi Aldama, Darío Brizuela, Álvaro Cárdenas, Alberto Díaz, Guillem Ferrando, Willy Hernangómez, Juancho Hernangómez, Lucas Langarita, Sergio de Larrea, Xabi López-Arostegui, Isaac Nogués, Joel Parra, Jaime Pradilla, Josep Puerto, Mario Saint-Supéry, Yankuba Sima, and Santi Yusta.
