Antonis Karagiannidis’ preparation with the Greek national team has come to an end, as head coach Vassilis Spanoulis decided he will not continue with the roster.
According to the Hellenic Basketball Federation, today’s practice marked Karagiannidis’ final session with the squad. The team now continues preparations with 16 players, from which the final 12-man roster for EuroBasket 2025 will be selected.
The next games on the schedule include the AEGEAN Acropolis Tournament from August 20–22, where Greece will face Latvia and Italy, followed by a friendly against France on August 24. All matches will take place at OAKA with a tip-off time of 20:00.
The 16 players remaining in the squad are Kostas Papanikolaou, Kostas Sloukas, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Giannoulis Larentzakis, Dinos Mitoglou, Thanasis Antetokounmpo, Kostas Antetokounmpo, Vasilis Toliopoulos, Tyler Dorsey, Panagiotis Kalaitzakis, Dimitris Katsivelis, Nikos Hougaz, Vaggelis Zougris, Alexandros Samontourov, Omiros Netzipoglou, and Nasos Bazinas.
