Eight days before Israel faces Iceland at EuroBasket 2025 in Poland, the Israel Basketball Association revealed the final roster for the tournament.
Coach Ariel Beit Halachmi had to trim the extended squad down to 12 players over the past week.
In his final cuts, Beit Halachmi released center Idan Zalmanson from Hapoel Holon and point guard Roi Huber from Hapoel Jerusalem. Earlier, Gor Lavi and Noam Yaakov were also let go and will remain in Israel, despite being part of the team during the preparation period.
The final roster: Deni Avdija, Ethan Burg, Tomer Ginat, Nimrod Levi, Yam Madar, Rafi Menco, Khadeen Carrington, Guy Palatin, Itay Segev, Roman Sorkin, Bar Timor, Yovel Zoosman.
Israel played four preparation games ahead of EuroBasket, losing to Estonia, dominating Cyprus, defeating Greece, and falling to Montenegro in the final tune-up.
Yam Madar returned in the last game after recovering from injury and is expected to be fully fit for the tournament.
