The defending European champions recorded their first win at the 2025 EuroBasket

Limassol, Cyprus – Spain started their 2025 EuroBasket campaign with a surprising defeat to Georgia, but they bounced back immediately.

Sergio Scariolo’s side convincingly defeated Bosnia and Herzegovina 88-67 in Limassol, improving to 1-1 in the Group C standings.

Santi Aldama led the way with 19 points, Willy Hernangomez followed with 16, while Dario Brizuela added 15 points.

As for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kenan Kamenjas had a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds, while Jusuf Nurkic added 10 points with seven boards.

Spain shot really well, hitting 15 three-pointers on 38 attempts (39.5%), while also dishing out 25 assists and once again finding a way to victory through team basketball. On the other side, Bosnia connected on just three shots from beyond the arc (3/21, 14.3%).

Spain is now set to face Cyprus (31/08), while Bosnia and Herzegovina will have another difficult task against Italy (31/08).
