Slovenia superstar Luka Doncic revealed the reason he was absent during the presentations of teams and the playing of national anthems before the EuroBasket game of his squad against Israel.
“Because I had to do something on the toilet. If you’re also interested about that, then I don’t know,” Doncic said. “I wouldn’t miss an anthem but I had to go urgent. I couldn’t wait until halftime.”
Doncic returned from the… toilet in a dominant fashion. He had 24 points by halftime and ended up with 37 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists as Slovenia beat Israel 106-96 to capture its third straight win after entering the EuroBasket with two consecutive losses.
Thanks to his 37-piece, Doncic reached 1,100 points on an international level and passed Slovenia legend and former teammate Goran Dragic to become the new all-time leading scorer in the history with national team.

Despite the fact that for most Slovenia isn’t anywhere near being a medal contender, Doncic and his teammates aim for a spot on the podium.
“We’re hoping for the medal. We think we can win a medal. I know a lot of others don’t, but we believe in us. Everybody that’s here, we all believe, everyone in everyone. So, just with head forward.”
