Riga, Latvia – Cedi Osman injured his ankle during Turkey’s quarter-final game against Poland and has not trained with his team since then.

However, he played in the semifinal against Greece and as he admitted after the final buzzer: “Even if I wasn’t in 100%, I had to play because I am the captain”

On gameday’s morning shootaround Osman completed part of the training routine, however nothing was decided at the time about his participation.

It all pointed out to a gametime decision and considering the importance of the game, nothing could be ruled out.

According to FIBA rules, teams can’t change their rosters during the tournament because of injuries, so Osman on paper will be part of the active team no matter what.
