It seems that Croatia will march to the EuroBasket 2017 minus Mario Hezonja since the young forward wants to stay in Orlando for some serious off season work.

After spending the three previous summers with the Croatian national team this year Mario Hezonja will most likely take a break in order to focus on working out in Orlando ahead of the 2017/2018 season with the Magic.

“I don’t think so,” he answered when asked if he’ll join Croatia in the EuroBasket 2017 by Turkish website Trendbasket. “I’ll have a long summer with Orlando: workouts and everything. I’m not going to discuss about that right now but I don’t believe that will happen.”

Hezonja averaged 9 points and 3.3 rebounds per game in the 2016 Olympic Games, helping Croatia reach the quarterfinals.
