All eyes are fixed on Spain, which is entering the court as the top favorite to win gold. On the other hand, Serbia will also be tested against Latvia and Kristaps Porzingis.

It’s going to be a very interesting day that will give an idea about the two teams, which despite their absences, are considered the best in the tournament.

Belgium vs Great Britain – Group D (14.15 local time)

This seems to be a balanced game and the winner will keep its share of hopes in the race for the next round. It’s just the start of the day, but those two opponents can’t afford a defeat in this contest.

Hungary vs Croatia – Group C (15.00 local time)

Bogdanovic, Saric and company were impressive during the preparation games and they want to carry this momentum in the official games. On paper, it’s not going to be that hard against Hungary.

Serbia vs Latvia – Group D (17.oo local time)

This is the biggest game of the day. Serbia, despite missing many players, is considered a favorite for the medals. Latvia is one of the ambitious outsiders and Kristaps Porzingis is going to have his Eurobasket debut. You can’t afford to miss this match up.

Spain vs Montenegro – Group C (17.45 local time)

Spain remains the strongest team of the tournament and Montenegro will try to upset them. It remains to be seen if the “tradition” of the Spaniards having a slow start will be repeated.

Romania vs Czech Republic – Group C (20.30 local time)

Against the hosts of Group C, the Czechs will have the best chance for a win which will put them in poll position for a spot in the next round. Romania wants to prove that they are a better team compared to their performance in the preparation games.

Turkey vs Russia – Group D (21.00 local time)

Istanbul will host also the final phase of the tournament and Turkey – which has a tradition of winning big every time they host the tournament – would like to make a statement from the first game, against talented but unstable Russia.
