Croatia cruises over the Czech Republic

In a game that would not make a difference standings-wise, Bojan Bogdanovic, and Dario Saric led Croatia over the Czech Republic.

Even though the 16 teams that have advanced to the second round have been decided, and Croatia is one of them, it did not stop the Croatians from defeating another team in this Eurobasket, the Czech Republic (69-107) and improving to a 4-1 record.

They finished at the No. 2 seed in Group C. The Czech Republic had already been eliminated from this tournament and the only difference with a win would be their final record. They ended their run in the Eurobasket with 1-4 wins.

Bojan Bogdanovic and Dario Saric, came off the bench for coach Aleksandar Petrovic, while Ivan Buva and Dragan Bender started the game and were given the chance to impress the coaching staff. The first half ended 40-54 in favor of Croatia. In the second half, Croatia increased their lead and finally, the game ended 69-107

The star: Bojan Bogdanovic was the best player on the court as he scored 25 points. Ivan Buva finished the game with 13 points while Dario Saric added 18 points and 10 rebounds.

The key: Croatia started the game off, with a 0-8 run (7:26 -1Q) and had the upper hand in the game since early on. Bogdanovic’s offense and easy shots, together with Saric’s all around performance pushed Croatia got the easy victory.

Not enough: Patrick Auda for the losing side scored 19 points.Vojtěch Hruban added 15 points. Lukas Palyza finished with 12.
