It’s true, Slovenia is on the podium after advancing to the final! Up until recently, it was Lithuania that held the record of the least populated country achieving a medal, yet this summer it’s Slovenia’s time to shine.
With a population of a little over than 2 million people (2,065,000, as per Google), the impact of Slovenia’s presence in the final is huge.
The only nations able to compete against this record are Latvia, with a population of a little less than 2 million people (1,944,565), and/or Montenegro (650,000 habitats).
