AS Monaco beat Galatasaray 91 – 79 in Istanbul to improve its record to 3-2 in EuroCup Group and counter the first-leg loss to the Turkish side at home. The Monegasque team could’ve qualified to the quarterfinals if they won by 13 since that would give them the tie-breaker against Galatasaray.

Jaleel O’ Brien scored a season-high 25 points and grabbed five rebounds for Monaco. Dee Bost added 18 points and Yakouba Ouattara 16.

Galatasaray dropped to 2-3 with one game remaining for the completion of the stage. Alex Poythress finished with 19 points and seven rebounds while Tal Webster posted 18 points and six assists. Zach Auguste had 16 points.

The win of Monaco was a result that automatically pushed Unics Kazan to the quarterfinals. The Russian team beat Rytas Vilnius 82 – 69 earlier behind 24 points by Jamar Smith.

Pako Cruz and Cameron Barstow were the top scorers of Rytas with 14 points apiece.
