The management of Unicaja Malaga along with the players and coach Luis Casimiro reached an agreement regarding the salary reductions that will be implemented due to the hiatus caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

The players and coach of the first team only will see their payments getting reduced to 10% if a competition resumes and 17.5% if no more games are played.

Malaga is eligible to participate in the 12-team tournament that ACB has in works to possibly resume the Spanish League season. The resumption status of EuroCup, where Malaga has qualified for the playoffs, is currently unknown. Partizan Belgrade and Virtus Bologna have proposed a Final Eight to be held to conclude the season.
