Similar to the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague selection of the Starting Five of the 2019-20 season shortened by the coronavirus pandemic, fans picked Marcus Paige, Ognjen Jaramaz, Rade Zagorac, Rashawn Thomas, and William Mosley for the 7DAYS EuroCup Fans Choice Starting Five.

Per EuroCup: “The 2019-20 season may have ended prematurely, but thanks to 7DAYS, the fans have been able to have their say about which EuroCup players inspired them most during what was the most-followed campaign in Euroleague Basketball history.

The Fans Choice Starting Five survey opened voting to all fans over two weeks, and they were not shy about choosing their preferred stars!

It was very clear what team’s fans were the most motivated to celebrate their team’s strong, though incompleted, 2019-20 7DAYS EuroCup season. Those fans filled the entire Starting Five of the competition with Partizan NIS Belgrade players!

Such was the loyalty for a team that matched the best record in the EuroCup last season, 12-4, and was waiting to start the quarterfinals with home-court advantage when the COVID-19 global pandemic forced the season to be suspended and eventually cancelled.

Partizan was successful with solid teamwork, both from starters and substitutes, who both feature on the Starting Five.

William Mosley, who led the way by getting 15.9% of the votes, was the lowest scorer among the honorees, but came off the bench for 5.6 rebounds per game and ranked second in the 2019-20 EuroCup with 1.4 blocks on average.

Rashawn Thomas (13.3%) led the team with an average PIR of 12.3 while putting up 9.8 points and 5.3 rebounds.

Full-time starter Ognjen Jaramaz (13.1%) had a scoring average (9.0) that matched his PIR, as well as 2.8 assists per game.

Playmaker Marcus Paige came off the bench in all 16 games for 8.8 points, giving Partizan’s second unit a huge boost.

Forward Rade Zagorac, another full-time starter, was good for 8.9 points and 4.3 rebounds per game.

Thanks to everyone who participated and helped celebrate what had been a strong 2019-20 season by voting in the Fans Choice Starting Five!”
