Mornar Bar was officially named the replacement team for Maccabi Rishon LeZion in the 2020-21 edition of 7DAYS EuroCup. The Israeli outlet previously confirmed its withdrawal from the upcoming season.

Per EuroCup: “Montenegro will enjoy a second representative in the 7DAYS EuroCup next season after Mornar Bar was chosen to fill a place left open when another team, Maccabi Rishon LeZion of Israel, was forced to drop from the competition. Rishon chose to withdraw due to logistical difficulties and financial concerns complicated by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mornar will make its EuroCup return in Group B of the regular season alongside fellow Montenegrin club Buducnost VOLI Podgorica, Boulogne Metropolitans, Germani Brescia, ratiopharm Ulm and Unicaja Malaga.

The 2018 Montenegrin League champion, Mornar debuted in the EuroCup the following season. It finished as the league runner-up in three of the past four completed seasons and has played in the Montenegrin Cup finals in four of the past five years.

Among the players on the Mornar Bar roster for the coming season are former EuroCup champion Milko Bjelica and EuroLeague veterans Jacob Pullen and Kenny Gabriel.”
