Reyer Venezia announced that it has paused all activities after Tuesday’s (10/11) COVID-19 tests confirmed several positive cases on the team. There are still some tests pending to be processed.

All persons that tested positive are asymptomatic. Venezia was planned to face Partizan Belgrade Wednesday (11/11) for Round 7 of the EuroCup regular season but after this development, the game is expected to be suspended and rescheduled for a later date.

Venezia is the second Italian club that has recently suspended activities and practices due to coronavirus cases after Olimpia Milano.

UPDATE: EuroCup officially suspended the game of Venezia vs. Partizan.

“The 7 DAYS EuroCup Regular Season Round 7 game between Umana Reyer Venice and Partizan NIS Belgrade originally scheduled to be played on Wednesday, November 11, has been suspended. Venice requested the suspension of the game due to local legislation imposing quarantine measures on the team, which leaves without the minimum eight players on the Authorisation List fit to play.”
