Marco Belinelli went off in his first continental match in 14 years.

Marco Belinelli had quite the performance in his EuroCup debut and return to European competitions for the first time since 2007.

Belinelli scored a team-high 25 points in 20 minutes as Virtus Bologna opened the EuroCup Top 16 by beating Cedevita Olimpija 90 – 76 and extending its undefeated competition streak to 11-0.

14 out of Belinelli’s total points arrived in the second period which Bologna dominated 35 – 16 to establish a steady hold on the game. He finished the night shooting 8 – 14 from the field and 6-10 from the line while grabbing five rebounds.

Vince Hunter added 22 points and nine rebounds while Milos Teodosic posted 13 points and eight assists. Kyle Weems also scored 13.

For Cedevita, Jaka Blazic had 25 points and Kendrick Perry 22 points plus five assists.

After one game, the Italians are tied on the top of Group G with Buducnost VOLI Podgorica with dominated at home and got the 108-80 win over Bourg en Bresse.
