Buducnost beat already-eliminated JL Bourg en Bresse 92 – 89 on the road to retain its hopes of grabbing one of the two remaining playoff tickets in EuroCup Group G.

Willie Reed (14 points on 6-6 shots, five rebounds three blocks) and Justin Cobbs (14 points) paced Buducnost while Amedeo Della Valle pitched in 12 points on 4-6 triples. Their team trailed 69 – 67 in the beginning of the fourth period but had an 0-8 run to take the lead and held on to it until the end despite the fight that Bourg put.

Zachery Peacock scored 29 points and grabbed six rebounds and Thomas Scrubb dropped 20 points and got five boards for Bourg that had just six professional players on its roster.

This game wouldn’t have any true meaning for Buducnost if top-placed Virtus Bologna hadn’t beaten Cedevita Olimpija in overtime. Buducnost now needs to defeat Cedevita by four points or more to finish above them, while any other result sends the Slovenian side to the quarterfinals.
