The 7DAYS EuroCup Regular Season Group B Round 11 game pitting Frutti Extra Bursaspor against Umana Reyer Venezia at Tofas Arena has been suspended, Euroleague Basketball announced Wednesday.

The game was initially scheduled to be held later today (18:00 CET). The Italian team being unable to travel to Bursa due to the bad weather conditions in Turkey, prompted the decision to push back the game, as noted.

Per the press release: “The 7DAYS EuroCup Regular Season Round 11 between Frutti Extra Bursaspor and Umana Reyer Venice that was scheduled to be played on Wednesday, January 26 has been suspended due to the inability of Umana Reyer Venice to reach the Turkish city following the bad weather conditions that Turkey has experienced since last Monday.

Euroleague Basketball will evaluate with the affected teams the best possible options to reschedule the game based on available dates and TV rightsholders’ production availability. Further information will be released as warranted in the coming days.”

The Round 11 fixture became the fifth game suspended this season. Teams limited below the minimum eight players by positive COVID-19 cases forced the previous suspensions, including both Venezia and Bursaspor involved in two of the four affairs.

The Italian team hosting Gran Canaria in Round 9 and the Turkish side visiting Virtus Segafredo Bologna in Round 10 were previously suspended. In addition, the Round 9 contest featuring Cedevita Olimpija and Promitheas at Ljubljana was suspended. The remaining Round 9 game suspended between MoraBanc Andorra and Slask Wroclaw has been rescheduled for February 15.
