In the post-match press conference, Dmitry Gerasimenko, who is both the chairman and player of Krasny Oktyabr, apologised for his behaviour during the game between his team and AEK Athens, which ended with an overtime win for Red October.

Gerasimenko at one point started speaking with the fans in the stands of OAKA, Cooper also throw an object at them and there was tension on the court, which resulted in the Russian team leaving the court for some minutes. As he said: “I want to say I am sorry for my behaviour and for what Cooper did as well. It’s over now. I love Greece. Basketball is a game and somebody should win at the end.”

The Russian was happy for the victory of his team, but also impressed with the atmosphere and support of AEK Athens’ fans for their team and congratulated the Greek team for their great performance.
