Following a solid campaign at Falco Szombathely, Marvin Clark II moves to Veolia Hamburg Towers

A late and also final addition to the Veolia Hamburg Towers squad comes in the form of explosive forward Marvin Clark II.

Clark, 27, signed up for the next season in the 7DAYS EuroCup and Germany’s easyCredit BBL. Falco Szombathely marking his third campaign in Europe included 12 appearances in the Basketball Champions League and 7.0 points and 3.8 rebounds per contest. The overall effort resulted in winning Hungary’s Tippmix Férfi NB I/A.

“Last year, I had my first experience in international competition, but in EuroCup and BBL the level is even higher,” he mentioned describing expectations heading into the 2022-23 season.

From Belgium and France to Hungary and from there to Germany, the path so far for the former player of St. John’s and Michigan State in the NCAA. Locked into the Towers, he is joining forces with Yoeli Childs, Seth Hinrichs, Kendale McCullum, Lukas Meisner, Christoph Philipps, Ziga Samar, Len Schoormann, Jonas Wohlfarth-Bottermann, and James Woodard playing under head coach Raoul Korner.

Elsewhere in the EuroCup field, Joventut penned Estonian prospect Kasper Suurorg to a four-year contract and loaned him to affiliate CB Prat. The 20-year-old combo guard played college basketball at St. Francis College in New York last season and has been a regular in all junior national teams of his home country.

The 2022-23 EuroCup Regular Season tips off during the second week of October. The 20 participating teams have been split into two groups and inserted into a double-legged round-robin schedule stretching 18 rounds.
