Buducnost and Turk Telekom are the big winners as EuroCup returns

7DAYS EuroCup is back after the February break with two important games for the final standings of the regular season

Turk Telekom Ankara took another step torwards securing home-court advantage in the upcoming 7DAYS EuroCup Eighthfinals by beating Promitheas Patras which is now tied with Buducnost Voli which prevailed over Hapoel Vegan Friendly Tel Aviv.

The Turkish side got the 85-75 in the Turkish capital in Group B on Tuesday and now has an 11-4 in the standings riding on a three-game winning streak. Thanks to a 20-10 third quarter, Promitheas trimmed Turk Telekom’s lead to two points, but in the end the home side finished the game strong.

Axel Bouteille led the winners with 21 points. Jerian Grant added 19 and 6 assists, while Nathan Sestina had 18 points.

Arnoldas Kulbokas led Promitheas with 23 points on 7-for-11 three-point shooting. Anthony Cowan added 19 points, Joe Thomasson had 17 and George Conditt 11 for the guests who lost twice to Turk Telekom and dropped to 9-6.

That’s also the record of Buducnost VOLI after beating Hapoel Tel Aviv 89-79. The hosts jumped to a 52-34 halftime lead and it proved enough until the end. Erick Green with 21 points for Buducnost was once again the driving force behing this win.

Tomer Ginat and Chinanu Onuaku had 14 points each for the losing side which ended a hot streak of seven wins and still has a solid 10-5 record.
