Hapoel Tel Aviv close to home-court advantage, Trento surprises Buducnost

Hapoel Tel Aviv got their seventh win at home against Hamburg, while Trento got to their third overall over Buducnost to keep the playoff hope alive

Hapoel Vegan Friendly Tel Aviv improved to an 11-5 overall score after defeating Veolia Towers Hamburg 91-85 in Round 16 of the 7Days EuroCup, improving their chances for home-court advantage in the playoffs.

Xavier Munford and J’Covan Brown led the way for Hapoel with 21 points apiece. JP Tokoto had a 12-point, 10-rebound double-double, and Jaylen Hoard also got into double figures for points with 10.

For Hamburg, Yoeli Childs impressed with a double-double of 19 points and 12 rebounds, while Ziga Samar scored 18 points, Anthony Polite had 17, and Lukas Meisner added 10.

Buducnost Voli Podgorica came back from a 23-point deficit, but Dolomiti Energia Trento responded in the dying moments and grabbed a 79-76 win to keep their playoff hopes alive.

The Italian team improved to 3-11 and will have a crucial game in the next round against the 5-11 team, Hamburg, for the eighth place in the Group B standings.

Diego Flaccadori led the winning side with 16 points, Andrejs Grazulis added 14, and Matteo Spagnolo had 12 points, while Darion Atkins finished the match with 11 points and seven rebounds.

Trea Bell Haynes’ excellent 24-point performance and Erick Green’s 18-point game weren’t enough for the Montenegrin team, as only J. J. O’Brien followed them with 10 points.

Joventut Badalona got a convincing 104-81 victory over Cluj-Napoca to continue the fight for first place in Group A.

Joel Parra led the home team with 18 points, while Pau Ribas and Ante Tomic added 15 points each. Andres Feliz and Kyle Guy followed them with 12 points apiece.

For the Romanian team, Jalen Jones had a double-double with 16 points, and ten rebounds, Leonardo Meindl and Neal Richard Patrick added 15 points each, while Emanuel Cate also grabbed a double-double of 14 points and 12 rebounds. Nemanja Gordic scored 11 points for the losing side.

With an 89-85 win against Slask Wroclaw at home, Paris Basketball kept their distance to Hapoel Tel Aviv and, thanks to Buducnost’s loss, improved their chances for home-court advantage in the playoffs.

Jeremy Evans led the French side with 18 points, and ten rebounds, Gauthier Denis and Tyrone Wallace added 17 apiece, with the US player dishing out eight assists.

Aamir Simms also got a near-double-double game with 13 points and nine rebounds, Amar Gegic added 12 points, while Juhann Begarin finished the match with 10.

For Slask, Aleksander Dziewa and Vasa Pusica scored 21 points each, Jeremiah Martin followed them with 19, while the veteran Artsiom Parakhouski had 11 points.
