Following a successful season, Turk Telekom Ankara is undergoing significant changes. Nenad Canak has taken over as head coach, numerous players have left, and now Okben Ulubay has become the first addition to the team under the Serbian coach.

As officially announced by the club, Ulubay will don Turk Telekom’s colors in the upcoming season after spending a year with Besiktas.

The 27-year-old forward began his career a decade ago with Anadolu Efes and has since played for Yeşilgiresun, Darüşşafaka, Petkim Spor, and Galatasaray in Turkey, with a year-and-a-half stint in Serbia representing FMP.

He won the EuroCup with Darussafaka in 2018 and has earned three gold and three bronze medals with the Turkish national youth teams. Last season, he averaged 7.8 points, 2.1 assists, and two rebounds in the BSL for Besiktas.

Ulubay is just the first of many new signings as Turk Telekom recently parted ways with Michael Eric, Tyrique Jones, Nate Sestina, Erkan Yilmaz, Berk Demir, Emircan Kosut, Axel Bouteille, and Jerian Grant in the past few days.

Some hours later, Turk Telekom Ankara announced the addition of Markis McDuffie, who’s coming off a great season in the Basketball Champions League and in the LNB with JDA Bourgogne Dijon.

The former Napoli player had 17.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in the French domestic league, pushing his side until the first round of the Playoffs against JL Bourg-en-Bresse. In the International campaign, instead, he had 15.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game.

Jason Burnell moves to Brescia

As announced by Brescia, Jason Burnell officially joined the Italian side, who won the Italian Cup in the 2022-23 season but didn’t manage to get to the LBA Playoffs or go deep in the EuroCup elimination rounds.

This will be his fourth adventure with an Italian team following the experiences with Cantù, Dinamo Sassari, and Brindisi. Last year he had 9.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game.

As previously announced by the club’s president Mauro Ferrari, Brescia won’t play the EuroCup next year but still started to strengthen itself by bringing in Miro Bilan while renewing both Amedeo Della Valle and head coach Alessandro Magro until 2016.
