Paris Basketball records a new arrival, of Mikael Jantunen, from Universo Treviso Basket. The Finn comes to strengthen the Parisian racket. The 23-year-old strong winger has signed a contract that can extend until 2025 and will wear number 20.

As a child, he was introduced to football before finally choosing basketball at the age of 11. From 2016 to 2019, he played with the Helsinki Basketball Academy (HBA-Märsky), before trying his luck in the US, where he aroused the interest of universities such as Georgia Tech, Stanford, Loyola Marymount, and Oregon State.
In the end, Jantunen opted for the University of Utah. He remains 2 seasons under the jersey of the Utah Utes, where he imposes himself as an essential player in the workforce. Not selected for the 2021 NBA Draft, he decided to make his comeback on the Old Continent and begin his professional career there. Thus, in July of the same year, he signed with the Belgian formation of BC Telnet Oostende, a BNXT League club (Belgian and Dutch championship).
