Paris Basketball proved beyond any doubt that they are contenders after a big game in Spain

The biggest matchup of Tuesday night in the BKT EuroCup delivered, as Paris Basketball got the big overtime 101-94 win in Badalona to stay perfect with a 7-0 record on top of the standings in Group A.

It was a real test for the French up-and-comers and when all was said and done, the result was impressive.

Nadir Hifi with 27 points was the star of the winning time, while Collin Malcolm added 18 points.

Andrew Andrews missed the chance to win the game in regulation for Badalona, as he couldn’t make the last shot after T.J. Shorts tied the score at 89 with five seconds left. In total, Shorts had 13 points and nine assists.

Kenny Chery with 18 points and Michael Ruzic with 17 were the top scorers of the losing side which dropped to 3-4

Also for Group A, Prometey Slobozhanske (3-4) beat Hapoel Shlomo Tel Aviv (4-2) with the final score being 98-89 in Riga, Latvia. Tai Odiase paced the winners with 19 points and Davon Reed contributed 16, while Braian Angola led Hapoel with 18 points.

In Group B, the night started with 7bet-Lietkabelis Panevezys (3-4) overcoming a 12-point deficit late in the fourth quarter and becoming the first team in the competition history to not allow a single point in overtime, prevailing with 93-86 over Turk Telekom Anakara (1-6).

Gediminas Orelik made 8/14 threes and finished with 31 points, 5 assists, and 4 rebounds, Tyrone Wallace scored 22 for Turk Telekom but the star of the show was coach Nenad Canak who was fired by Turk Telekom last month, returned to his previous team, Lietkabelis and beat the Turkish club.

ratiopharm Ulm (5-2) destroyed Buducnost VOLI Podgorica (2-5) with the final score being 84-67 thanks to a stellar second half with Trevion Williams posting a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Brandon Paul, who was honored before the game by his former team, finished with 14 points in a losing effort.

Mincidelice JL Bourg en Bresse (5-2) also prevailed over Aris Midea Thessaloniki (3-4) with a 72-65. NBA prospect Zaccharie Risacher led the winners with 16 points while Aris got 15 points each from Kris Bankston and Vassilis Toliopoulos.
