Once upon a time, Lions were the symbol of Venice, but this time around the London Lions were roaring in Italy.

The British champions beat Umana Reyer Venice 95-91 on the road, getting 23 points and 12 rebounds by Gabe Olaseni.

With its fifth straight win in the EuroCup, London improved to 8-2 overall and 5-0 on the road keeping the second place behind Paris (8-1) in Group A, while Reyer fell to a 4-6 record.

In the same group, Prometey Slobozhnske got the – expected – 97-83 road win against Veolia Towers Hamburg.

Prometey, which improved to 5-5, had six players in double figures, with Ondrej Balvin leading the way with 15 points and eight rebounds, while the Germans have just one win so far in 10 games.

In Ankara for Group B, Turk Telekom (photo) got the 96-84 win over U-BT Cluj-Napoca 95-84 and improved to 2-8, while the guests dropped to 7-3.

James Palmer with a season-high 24 points and also three rebounds, five assists, and three steals made things happen for the Turkish side, which is still far away from where they wished to be.

On the contrary, Mincidelice JL Bourg en Bresse extended its winning streak to four games after beating Slask Wroclaw 63-72 on the road with Isiaha Mike scoring 16 points and Jeremy Morgan adding 12.

Slask was missing star players Kendale McCullum and Jakub Niziol and Bourg improved to an 8-2 record, good enough for the second spot of the group standings while the hosts dropped to 2-8.
