Bahcesehir Koleji Istanbul has kicked off its 2025-26 roster building by signing American point guard Malachi Flynn to a one-year contract. This marks Flynn’s first venture into European basketball, after spending the past five seasons in the NBA and G League.
Flynn brings significant professional experience with him. He made 223 appearances in the NBA, most notably with the Toronto Raptors, who selected him in the first round of the 2020 NBA Draft.
Flynn spent three and a half seasons with Toronto before playing for the New York Knicks and Detroit Pistons during the 2023-24 campaign. Last season, he also had a short stint with the Charlotte Hornets, appearing in four games and averaging 4.0 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game.
In addition to his NBA experience, Flynn stood out in the G League, particularly with the Austin Spurs in the 2024-25 season. Over 26 games, he posted impressive numbers: 22.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 1.5 steals per game, earning him a spot on the All-NBA G League First Team.
Flynn will now continue his career in Turkey under new Bahcesehir head coach Marko Barac, who was officially appointed on Thursday.
