A former NBA player in 28-year-old Ky Bowman stays in Italy for a fourth straight year

Umana Reyer Venice announced a multi-year deal with 28-year-old Ky Bowman on Monday.

A fourth straight season in Italy’s LBA UnipolSai for the former Boston College standout in the NCAA and a veteran of 45 NBA games with the Golden State Warriors during the 2019-20 Regular Season. After suiting up for Happy Casa Brindisi in the domestic league and the FIBA Europe Cup in 2022-23, and spending the last two years with NutriBullet Treviso, overseas experience will expand to the BKT EuroCup.

“I am excited to start this new journey with Reyer,” he commented on moving to Venice, “What motivated me the most is the ambition to be part of a complete team and have the opportunity to play in the Eurocup, an important stage, with a group with which I know we can do great things. My expectations for this year are to achieve the best results both in Italy and in Europe, and I know that the coaching staff will put us in the best conditions for ourselves and for our future.”

“I have never been to Venice, but I can’t wait to experience the city’s daily life with my family,” added the experienced point guard.

Buducnost re-signs Juwan Morgan

On Sunday afternoon, Buducnost VOLI confirmed a one-year contract extension for 28-year-old Juwan Morgan. Another former NBA player with 70 games played between the Utah Jazz, Boston Celtics, and Toronto Raptors, moved his talents to Podgorica during the last offseason and went on to average 9.3 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.1 steals per game in his debut EuroCup campaign.

Elsewhere in the second tier of Euroleague Basketball, 18-year-old Diego Garavaglia inked a three-year contract with ratiopharm Ulm, the team announced on Monday.
