Aris Thessaloniki signed former NBA champion Bryn Forbes according to Eurohoops sources. The 31-year-old guard will move to the Greek side to play outside the NBA for the first time in his career.
Forbes has played in 473 NBA games through seven years in the league with such teams as the San Antonio Spurs, the Milwaukee Bucks, the Denver Nuggets and the Minnesota Timberwolves. He’s been a free agent since he spent the first half of the 2022-23 season with the Timberwolves, averaging 3.6 points.
In 2021, Forbes was crowned an NBA champion as a member of the Bucks.
With Aris, Forbes will compete in both the EuroCup and the Greek League.
This is the first major signing of Aris in the new era of the club under new owner Richard Hsiao.
