After finishing last season in PAOK, Alex Antetokounmpo joins cross-town rival Aris BC with a two-year deal.
The 24-year-old forward spoke to the official website of the club about his signing.
“I am very excited to be joining a team like Aris, and I feel extremely blessed to be a part of such a high-level organization,” he said, a statement that has to do with the tradition of the club and also the current project.
As it’s already known, the RHC Group, an investment fund led by Richard Hsiao, who is also a close friend of Giannis Antetokounmpo and the family of the Greek NBA superstar, recently acquired the ownership of the club.
Aris BC, which will also compete in the BKT EuroCup, was a Greek basketball dynasty in the 80s, and remains one of the most popular clubs in Greece, and has high hopes under the new ownership.
