Round 11 of the BKT EuroCup kicked off with three intriguing clashes, but the duel between Dolomiti Energia Trento and Buducnost VOLI Podgorica stood out.
The Italian side narrowly defeated the Montenegrin team in overtime, 91-90, as DJ Steward sank the decisive free throw with a second remaining.
Devante Jones led the winners with 19 points, Andrej Jakimovski added 13 points and nine rebounds, while Steward contributed 13 points. Cheickh Niang had 11, and Matas Jogela added 10 as Trento improved to 6-5.
Yogi Ferrell starred for Buducnost, hitting the three-pointer that forced overtime and finishing with 23 points. Oleksandar Kovliar and Nikola Tanaskovic added 14 points each, while Rasheed Sulaimon scored 11 with six assists. Podgorica fell to 7-4 in Group B.
Another exciting matchup took place in Ljubljana, where Cedevita Olimpija hosted Hapoel Midtown Jerusalem. The visiting side prevailed, winning 84-81.
Jared Harper led the Israeli team with 21 points, including crucial free throws in the closing moments. Anthony Lamb added 14 points, Khadeen Carrington scored 11, and Austin Wiley had eight points with 13 rebounds.
Aleksej Nikolic shone for Cedevita Olimpija with 27 points, Umoja Gibson added 18, and Jaka Blazic contributed 11.
Finally, NINERS Chemnitz defeated Lietkabelis Panevezys on the road, 85-79. Kevin Yebo scored 16 points with five rebounds, shooting 11/12 from the free throw line on 13 drawn fouls.
Nike Sibande led Chemnitz with 17 points, John Newman III added 15, Kostja Mushidi scored 12, Amadou Sow had 11, and Ty Brewer contributed 10.
For Lietkabelis, Kristian Kullamae scored 19 points, Fardaws Aimaq and Danielius Lavrinovicius added 13 each, while Michael Flowers and Dovis Bickauskis scored 10 apiece.
