After yesterday’s games, Round 15 of the BKT EuroCup continued this Wednesday with a very intriguing Besiktas–Budcnost Voli Podgorica matchup, which ended in a clear home win.

The Turkish side defeated the Montenegrin team 96–74, leaving them with a 9–6 record, while improving to 11–4 themselves to move back to the top of their group in the competition.

Despite a strong performance from Yogi Ferrell, who scored 18 points, the visitors never really had a chance and were unable to cope with the home team’s dominance.

Things were much tighter in the clash between Lietkabelis Panevezys (3-12) Dolomiti Energia Trento (9-6) game, which ended in a road 93-94 win mainly thanks to two players.

Devante Jones delivered the game of his life with 24 points and 10 rebounds for a performance index rating of 43, but DJ Steward (22 points) was the visiting hero, as he hit the three-pointer that sealed the win for the Italian side.

Zacharie Perrin shined (21 points and 12 rebounds) to guide Veolia Towers Hamburg to a victory (95-87) against Umana Reyer Venice.

And there were two game-winners this round, as Mark Smith scored the game-winning basket at the buzzer to give ratiopharm ulm the W against London Lions 72-73, allowing Christian Sengfelder to top off his great game (23 points and 7 rebounds) with a victory.

And the final game of the round, as could not have been otherwise, was also extremely close.

Despite trailing by seventeen points in the third quarter, with Neptūnas Klaipėda leading 50–67, BAXI Manresa refused to give up and completed a spectacular comeback to win the game 97–96.

Louis Olinde was the standout performer of the match, recording 24 points and 9 rebounds, and—most importantly—scoring the game-winning basket for the home side.

Arnas Velička’s impressive performance went unrewarded, as despite his 25 points and 11 assists, the Lithuanian team was unable to stop the Catalan comeback.
