One of the best AEK Athens players from last season becomes part of PAOK

PAOK, which will play in the BKT EuroCup next season, has secured a major reinforcement ahead of the summer.

RaiQuan Gray, who was among the best players in the Greek league and the Basketball Champions League in the AEK Athens jersey, is the new power forward of PAOK with a two-year deal.

After finishing his studies at Florida State, Gray tried his hand in the G League and later in the NBA, where he played for the Brooklyn Nets and the San Antonio Spurs.

He spent the last two seasons with AEK Athens, and he was a finalist in the Basketball Champions League and a semifinalist in the Greek league. In both competitions, he averaged just over 12 points and five rebounds per game.

In this way, PAOK has secured a big signing, while Cleveland Melvin has moved in the opposite direction, so there’s an unofficial “trade” between the two Greek clubs.
