Cedi Osman is on the verge of becoming a new PAOK player after Panathinaikos accepted a buyout offer, with the transfer expected to be finalized soon, according to Eurohoops sources.
A former NBA player with the Cleveland Cavaliers and San Antonio Spurs, Osman returned to Europe in 2024 and was one of Panathinaikos‘ key contributors during his stint with the Greek powerhouse.
Panathinaikos will get a €2 million buyout while the player is getting an unprecedented deal in the EuroCup level with €9 million net salary for the next three seasons.
His departure comes during a busy summer for Panathinaikos, which has reshaped its roster under new head coach Željko Obradović. The Greens have already strengthened the squad by adding Isaac Bonga, Guerschon Yabusele, Brancou Badio and Moustapha Fall.
Osman is now expected to join an ambitious PAOK project led by head coach Andrea Trinchieri. The Thessaloniki club will compete in the BKT EuroCup next season and continues to build a roster capable of challenging at the highest level.
PAOK has also tabled a €1,5 million buyout offer for Vassilis Toliopoulos, whose contract with Panathinaikos does not include an opt-out clause.
