PAOK announced this Thursday that point guard Breein Tyree sustained an injury that will sideline him for a month.
He was injured in a friendly match against Vikos Falcons, during which he played only six minutes. Afterward, he underwent arthroscopy, which revealed an issue with the meniscus.
However, a more severe injury was avoided, and as PAOK stated in their announcement, Tyree will be out for about a month.
“Breein Tyree was unlucky, and he will be absent for a significant period from the team’s obligations. The American guard played only six minutes in PAOK’s last friendly game against the Vikos Falcons last Monday, and the tests he underwent showed that he suffered a meniscus tear in his left knee.
Tyree underwent an arthroscopic meniscus repair this morning by the team’s doctor, orthopedic surgeon Mr. Michail Samaras. The American guard is expected to be out of action for about a month, and his condition will be reassessed at the end of September.
