Before the 2026–27 Regular Season of the BKT EuroCup tips off this week, two participating clubs added the final pieces to their rosters on Sunday.
Slask Wroclaw penned 28-year-old guard Paul Scruggs to a one-year contract. The former Xavier standout is set for his first taste of Euroleague Basketball’s second-tier tournament. He transitions after powering Energa Trefl Sopot in the FIBA Europe Cup, where he posted 12.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game. Head coach Danny Franco will weave the debutant into a Group C roster that already includes Blazej Czerniewicz, Leon Dunin-Wasowicz, John Egbunu, Anthony Hickey, Blazej Kulikowski, Kyrell Luc, Isaih Moore, Jakub Niziol, Malik Parsons, Devin Robinson, Tymoteusz Sternicki, Adam Wilczek, and Anthony Wrzeszcz.
Also, Siauliai bolstered their options by landing Kassim Nicholson. Having tested himself in the Basketball Champions League and the Europe Cup, the 27-year-old forward moved to the EuroCup stage. Placed in Group B, head coach Darius Songaila will guide him alongside Mike Caffey, Rokas Civilis, Selim Fofana, Cedric Henderson Jr., Simas Jarumbauskas, Tauras Jogela, Karolis Lukosiunas, Dayvion McKnight, Martynas Pacevicius, Efton Reid III, Dovydas Romancenko, and Erikas Venskus.
Opening the Regular Season on Wednesday, the Polish side welcomes Buducnost VOLI to Hala Orbita and the Lithuanian side hosts the London Lions at the Siauliai Arena.
The 32 teams are split into four equal groups, with the top four advancing after a 14-game double-legged round-robin schedule. The Playoffs use a best-of-three format from the Eighthfinals to the Finals.
