Unicaja in the Eurocup finals

After getting the road win in Game 1 of the Eurocup semifinals, Unicaja had the chance to finish the series in Spain and that’s exactly what they did.

Unicaja got the easy 74-63 win over Lokomotiv Kuban and also the ticket to the finals in order to fight for the trophy and the ticket to next season’s EuroLeague.

The players of coach Joan Plaza started the game with a 18-3 run behind 8 points by Nemanja Nedovic who finished the night with 21 and never looked back. Kyle Fogg also had a great game and scored 16 points. The score at the end of the first period was 27-11 and after that Unicaja controlled the game thanks to defense.

The half time score was 37-24, Lokomotiv Kuban couldn’t get into striking distance and the rest is history. Kevin Jones with 14 points was the leading scorer of the Russian team which started the night badly and couldn’t recover after that.

In the other semifinal series, the score is tied at 1-1 between Valencia and Hapoel Jerusalem.
