Lokomotiv Kuban and Polish swingman Mateusz Ponitka have a deal for a two-year contract according to Eurohoops sources.

The 24-year-old player joins the Russian team after spending the previous season with Iberostar Tenerife, in Spain.

Ponitka posted 10.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.7 assists, averaging 28 minutes per game with Tenerife in the 2017-2018 Basketball Champions League. In Spain, the Polish player averaged 14 points and 6 rebounds over 24 minutes per game in 36 ACB matches.

Throughout his career, that also includes stints in Zielona Gora and Pinar Karsiyaka, Ponitka has built a name for himself as one dynamic two-way player who can bring an all-around impact on the floor.

Eurohoops had reported the advanced talks between Ponitka and Lokomotiv Kuban earlier this month.
