A great start was enough for Gran Canaria, as the Spanish team got the 83-70 win and the huge advantage over Unics Kazan for the qualification to Eurocup’s final. The guests had a 26-11 lead after the first quarter and never lost it.
Unics tried to turn things around, but couldn’t get deffensive stops and with Keith Langford also missing in offense, things were complicated. Gran Canaria had better numbers in almost every stat of the game, a balanced offense with 7 players scoring at least 8 points and four of them finishing in double digits. Walter Tavares with 12 points and 11 rebounds dominated the game and Gran Canaria can seal the qualification at home in one week.
