It was 2012 all over again for Khimki and just like 2014 for Tyrese Rice. The last Euroleague Final Four MVP led the Russian club to the Eurocup title – which also translate to a Euroleague berth for next season – with one more win, this time by 19 points (83-64) over Gran Canaria.

Things were easy for the hosts, after getting on Friday on the road the 91-66 win in the first final. The team of coach Rimas Kurtinaitis didn’t let the Spaniards breathe on the way to the second Eurocup title of the club after the one of 2012. Rice was once more spectacular with 16 points and 6 assists in less than 20 minutes of action on the way to his return to Euroleague. The American former Euroleague champion with Maccabi was  the Eurocup season MVP and also the finals MVP. James Augustin with 18 points was the top scorer of the winners and Paul Davis added a double double (16 p., 10 r.). Walter Tavares with a double double (10 p., 15 r.) tried his best for Gran Canaria, which also had a great and unexpected Eurocup run this season.
