According to reports from Dario Sur, Unicaja is negotiating their ‘most ambitious signing’ of the last years with Sergio Rodriguez. Per to Eurohoops sources, despite the big offer, the chances of Rodriguez ending in Malaga are more than limited.

The Spanish guard seems to be the apple of discord between Valencia and Unicaja, as the reigning 7DAYS EuroCup champions are also actively pursuing a deal with him.

The 33-year-old Rodriguez still has an active contract with CSKA for next season, with the Army Team holding the option for renewal and the deadline is July 12. Now it remains to be seen whether the EuroLeague champions will make a move to renew Rodriguez or if he will return to Spain after three seasons.
