Nanterre took quite the stunning 79 – 72 win on the road over Unics Kazan to keep its qualification hopes more than alive, in one of the biggest upsets this season in EuroCup. The hosts lost the chance to book an early Top 16 ticket.

Dallas Moore scored a team-high 17 points for Nanterre while Kenny Cherry added 14 points. Spencer Butterfield finished with 12 points and seven rebounds and Taylor Smith had 10 points plus nine boards. The French side is now 3-5.

For Unics, that dropped to 5-3, Errick McCollum stood out thanks to his 17 points, eight assists and five rebounds. Jamar Smith posted 16 points, Alex Tyus 10 points and Raymar Morgan 11 rebounds to go with his nine points.

In Istanbul, Darussafaka Tekfen overcame Joventut Badalona and a rather “hot” Klemen Prepelic (30 points on 6/11 triples) 92 – 86. The Spanish team was without forward Kerem Kanter who didn’t travel to Turkey.

Kartal Omzirak had 18 points and Gray Browne contributed 17 points and six rebounds to Dacka’s win. Jarrod Jones had 15 points and six rebounds and Sinan Guler 14 points. Darussafaka is tied with Unics at 5-3.
