Following the recent departure of Giorgos Bogris, Promitheas added Loukas Mavrokefalidis in the paint, the Greek team announced on Tuesday confirming previous reports on the 35-year-old big moving to Patras.

Experience held by Mavrokefalidis contains 68 appearances in 7DAYS EuroCup with Rytas Vilnius, AEK, Spartak Saint-Petersburg, Maroussi and PAOK. This time around meets his new team at the Top 16 stage of Europe’s second-tier club competition.

Started his 2019-20 campaign with Ionikos Nikaias Affidea. He averaged 19.7 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.3 assists per contest through 12 appearances in the current season of Greece’s Basket League.

Promitheas is set for Top 16 action against Umana Reyer Venezia, Germani Leonessa Brescia and EWE Baskets Oldenburg. In the Greek league sits on a 9-3 W-L tally, good enough for second place behind Panathinaikos OPAP.
