Olympiacos Piraeus announced that the club has terminated the contract of American guard Will Cherry.
Cherry was expected to be released by Olympiacos after being involved in an incident with Wade Baldwin at a team practice. The 28-year-old player averaged 5.4 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.7 assists in 21:03 minutes over 13 EuroLeague games this season. He had been out for the games vs. Valencia and Alba Berlin.
Olympiacos acquired Cherry on a short-term deal in April. The Greek club later signed him to a one-year contract for 2019-2020.
