Luca Vildoza is set to undergo surgery, KIROLBET Baskonia announced on Saturday. Out since EuroLeague Regular Season Round 16, surgical treatment was deemed necessary upon the latest reevaluation of his right shoulder injury. He will be heading to the operating room next Thursday.
The Spanish club did not set a timetable but noted that this type of procedure usually sidelines the player for approximately three months. The estimated recovery period will be set following his surgery and further medical tests.
Vildoza has played in 16 games through his third EuroLeague campaign averaging 7.1 points, 3.2 dimes, 1.9 assists and 1.1 steals per appearance. Also posted 7.4 points per ACB contest before moving to the injury list.
